Home Health Care
Generally there are two types, Non-medical and Medical Home Health Care.
Non-medical Home Health Care can provide services such as:

Companionship
-
Bathing and dressing
-
Medication reminders
-
Planning, cooking and serving meals
-
Light domestic housework, laundry and ironing
-
Shopping, errands and/or incidental transportation to church, social events and appointments Monitor conditions in and around the home

Regularly inform family members of care experiences
Non-medical Home Health agencies do not provide services such as:
-
Do not prescribe or administer drugs and/or medications.
-
Do not replace professional nursing care when it is required.
-
Do not administer injections of any kind
-
Do not conduct procedures designed to monitor vital signs such as blood pressure and heart rate
Medical Home Health Care can provide the same services as non-medical, but in addition to, can provide nursing care, such as administering drugs/medications, injections.
Medical Services must be provided by a Licensed or Registered Nurse otherwise known as LVN or RN.
